The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two time world title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Size Difference
As the two fighters participated in the usual stare-down, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really going ahead.
